ABOUT N12 GTMN12 GTM has always been a bit of a school boy dream, I've always wanted to drive/own either a Toyota Supra or a Nissan Skyline. After 7 years of owning a cheese eating surrender monkey car and having to work on it more often then I care to remember I decided that once this car had run into the ground I would purchase a Japanese sports car. Unfortunately the car never ran into the ground it was forced into it by a colleague from work reversing into it and the insurance company writing it off. So I set about looking for a replacement and obviously this had to be a Skyline. After searching around and seeing a few I knew exactly what it was I wanted, and that's what lead the search to finding N12 GTM. I was looking for a spec 2 skyline, but not just any spec 2, but specifically a 97 spec 2, as this was the last year the R33 was made, Unfortunately at the time of purchase there were no 40th anniversary editions available so I looked for one that matched my spec list:
Luckily I found one with all of this, I have service history stickers all over the car for various garages in Japan, a good life of servicing whilst there, the car was clean, tidy, straight and most importantly available within my budget. What Next? This is a tricky one at the time of writing, sure everyone that buys a Japanese sports car has the idea of making it faster, faster, faster or gutting it and turning it into a track toy. I'm not 100% certain what the next step is for the car, but I know 2 things for sure:
Make sure you check back from time to time for updates on the cars progress, thanks for reading. |
